Worth a Thousand Words

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and this one definitely speaks volumes to my soul.  I have been on a long, difficult journey and have come to this amazing bridge.  And just across the bridge there is a beautiful, peaceful world.  David the shepherd boy, made king, describes it beautifully.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures.  He leads me beside still waters, He restores my soul.

Here on Oliver Drive, 2 minutes from the historical Dahlonega square, God is leading me beside still waters and restoring my soul. There is a peace here I cannot describe. I feel myself unwinding as I drive closer and closer back to our new home.

I am a thrifter, and I love to look for treasures for our sweet cozy home here in Dahlonega.  I have found a wonderful thrift store where all proceeds go to help people in need here in Lumpkin County and have found many treasures for less than the price of a “drive thru” drink at a fast food place.  Recently, I have enjoyed checking out Marketplace on Facebook, where I found this picture that definitely is worth a thousand words.

Maddie and I are having so much fun blending our favorite things to create a fun BOHO decor.  She loves plants and actually can keep them alive.  I love decorating with amazing finds from everywhere.  Noah loves his old comfy, couches and books and David is quite the decorator himself creating a library/museum out of his collected treasures and skillfully crafted ark and our beautiful nativity, which will be displayed center stage this Christmas.

In the morning I awaken and watch as the darkness turns to light and the sun transforms my room with sunlight, and I am reminded of the faithfulness of God.  His mercies truly are new every morning.

If you find yourself in a valley today, perhaps this song will encourage you.
